Reliable, Accurate and High-Pressure Pumps for Fractionation

The fractionalization process involves the high-pressure injection of water containing sand or other proppants injected into a well bore to create cracks in the deep-rock formations through which natural gas, petroleum, and brine will flow more freely. Sundyne ANSIMAG Sealless magnetic drive pumps are widely utilized on LACT (Lease Automatic Custody Transfer) units for automatic measurement, sampling and transfer of oil from the lease location to the pipeline. Sunflo industrial grade pumps are utilized for brine injection to dispose waste water required by the drilling process.

As well heads reach greater offshore depths, or more extreme onshore environments, the need for pumps that can reliably deliver flexible high-pressures and flows becomes paramount. Capable of running continuously for up to 5 years without the need for service, Sundyne OH6 integrally geared pumps are reliable and are able to produce high heads for well injection. They also feature  a small footprint for space savings in any upstream environment.

Brine Injection

Most of the water and additives used in hydraulic fracturing remain deep underground in the geologic formation from which the oil or gas is being extracted. Some of the fluid, mixed with water or brine returns through the well to the surface and is referred to as produced water. After drilling operators bring a well on-line, large volumes of produced water are generated. Operators utilize Sunflo industrial grade pumps to inject produced water into deep wells.
