Pumping gasoline, petroleum, diesel fuel and mazut safely is a difficult process, as energy put into the liquid will increase its temperature, resulting in higher pressures and the tendency for vaporization. This was the challenge facing the Akhtyrka Oil Refinery in the Russian Ukraine.
With a reliable Sundyne sealless magnetic metallic pump there is absolutely no danger of emissions or leaks. Sundyne fluid handling solutions have a host of applications that support our world-wide customer’s complex requirements. Our product line is particularly successful where high temperature, high viscosity, high pressure and hazardous processes exist.
Sundyne’s Eastbourne, East Sussex plant in the UK (celebrating 60 years of sealless pump production this year) provided logistical support and developed the Russian business opportunity along with engineers Vince Lee and Vladimir Lebedev. Sixteen pumps were supplied to the refinery. The unique internal feed system available on the sealless magnetic metallic pumps prevents the internal temperature of the liquid from rising to a volatile level.
Sundyne continues to provide service and support to the Akhtyrka Oil Refinery. The performance of Sundyne sealless pumps and service resulted in a coveted "Preferred Supplier" award granted by Akhtyrka Oil.
