Ammonia

Ammonia - formula NH3 - is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen, which exists as a colorless gas with a characteristic pungent odor. It contributes significantly to the nutritional needs of terrestrial organisms by serving as a precursor to food and fertilizers. Ammonia, either directly or indirectly, is also a building block in the synthesis of many pharmaceuticals. Although widely used in both household and industrial applications, Ammonia is caustic and hazardous. Sundyne centrifugal compressors are built to withstand the rigors of process applications involving ammonia, thanks to their streamlined design and rugged API standards.
