United States of America Sundyne annoynces key sales appointments for Central and South America

ARVADA, Colo. (Feb. 21, 2008) – Sundyne Corp., a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand, today announced the addition of two new area sales managers responsible for developing new markets in Central and South America. Hamilton Sundstrand is a business unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Michael Bargas will manage Sundyne channel partners and customers in Mexico, Central America, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. He has over 18 years of experience with Sundyne Corporation in various global sales positions. He also has extensive experience with all of the Sundyne pump and compressor product lines. Bargas has an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Engineering Graphics from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.

Kenny Bermudez was named the Sundyne Area Sales Manager for the South American countries of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Bermudez came to Sundyne Corporation in 2007 from Carrier Corporation, a United Technologies Corp. subsidiary where he was an industrial engineer and supervisor for 7 years. He was born in Columbia, is fluent in Spanish and is an expert in the Latin American culture. Bermudez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech University, and a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix.

“We are increasing our commitment to Latin America by expanding our customer service and channel partner investments,” said Jeff Wiemelt, vice president and general manager of Sundyne Corp. “Frank Andrews, the area sales manager for Central and South America, has done an excellent job of expanding Sundyne product and service sales over the past two decades so we are increasing his staff commitment to serving our expanding customer base in these important countries,” said Wiemelt.

Andrews is responsible for supporting customers and channel partners in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Puerto Rico. Bargas and Bermudez will report to Andrews who has been with Sundyne since 1980. He has been responsible for marketing throughout all of Latin America for over 30 years. Andrews holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech University, and a Masters degree in international business from Florida Atlantic University.
