ARVADA, Colo., August 26, 2009 – Sundyne Corp., a Hamilton Sundstrand business, today announced the sale of its German MASO/Sine pump division to Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, a world-leading positive displacement pump manufacturer. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

The Ilsfeld, Germany headquarters of MASO/Sine manufactures sinusoidal positive displacement pumps. MASO/Sine sanitary rotary pump technology is used by manufacturers to process and package liquids and semi-solids such as whole strawberries for worldwide distribution. The unique design of MASO/Sine pumps allows for in-place cleaning as well as simple repair and overhaul done at the customer’s site as opposed to alternate technologies which require return to the factory for normal service.

The stand-alone business has been a member of the Sundyne product family since 1995. There are 48 employees in Europe and the United States who will be transferred to Watson-Marlow as part of the agreement. The MASO/Sine pump division reached the Gold level in the United Technologies Corp. Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) program in 2008. ACE Gold is the highest quality achievement for any UTC business.

“We expect continued success for our MASO/Sine colleagues with their new parent company,” stated Phil Ruffner, President of Sundyne Corp. “Watson-Marlow Pumps Group is an excellent fit for the stainless steel positive displacement pump business with their focus on global sanitary markets.”
