Sundyne announces leadership change at the Dijon, France facility


Arvada, Colo., Sept. 27, 2010 - Sundyne Corp., a Hamilton Sundstrand business, announced today that its manufacturing facility in Dijon, France is now under the leadership of Jeff Wiemelt, vice president and general manager of Sundyne. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).


Wiemelt is currently responsible for leading all Sundyne operations in North and South America. He will utilize his extensive business management background to improve and synergize operations, sales, marketing, engineering, product development and manufacturing with the Dijon, France team. Wiemelt is taking over the general management responsibilities from Sylvain Bazin who is leaving Sundyne effective October 1, 2010.

During his professional career Wiemelt has held leadership positions in engineering, sales, quality, field service, product management and operations. Wiemelt was a key player in the design and delivery of the Sundyne Pinnacle integrally geared API 617 compressor line, critical technology acquisitions and the relocation of the Ansimag sealless magnetic drive pump business to Arvada, Colorado.

As of today the Sundyne Dijon, France operation will be led by Joël Heux, business unit director, Sundyne Dijon. Heux reports directly to Wiemelt and is responsible for continuing cost and quality business improvements for all operations in Dijon. Roger Kuipers, director of sales, EUMEA (Europe, Middle-East, Africa) will also report to Wiemelt and continues his global sales responsibilities.


Through its global sales channel Sundyne manufactures and distributes a family of products including heavy duty ISO 13709/API 610 integrally geared pumps, direct drive and multi-stage pumps, sealless magnetic drive pumps including API 685 and ANSI and ISO standards, high-speed multi-stage compressors for hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation, water management, and general industries. Sundyne also manufactures motors, stators and generators for aerospace, aircraft, refrigeration, hybrid bus and hybrid truck industries.
