China Ivan Ng Named General Manager of Sundyne China

ARVADA, Colo., November 13, 2009 – Sundyne Corp., a Hamilton Sundstrand business, today announced the appointment of Ivan Ng as general manager of a new Sundyne facility in China. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Sundyne recognize the need for local manufacture in China, the largest emerging marketplace for process pumps and compressors in the world. Ng will lead the team responsible for the investigation and implementation of a new Sundyne facility in China. Ng has been named general manager by Phil Ruffner, the president of Sundyne.

“We will create a  Sundyne plant in China that will bring locally built product to customers, partners, and governments,” stated Ruffner. “It is time for Sundyne to become a truly great local company in China, which represents the largest potential growth area for Sundyne products and services. Ivan is the right person to lead our team there. He has extensive experience in developing channel partners, structuring deals and in creating strong leaders and teams.”

Most recently Ng served as the general manager in China for  Asia Pacific Architecture & Solar Schott, a technologically advanced industrial glass and supply manufacturing company based in Germany. He also held leadership positions in business development and sales for Reynolds Metals Company and Singapore Exhibition Services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from La Trobe University, Australia and a master’s degree from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

“Under Ivan’s leadership, we will create fresh opportunities for business partnerships in China and the rest of the Asian marketplace. Our local presence will increase growth, customer satisfaction, service and price competition,” stated Ruffner. “We will develop products and services designed specifically to meet local needs and, potentially, for export to other markets,” Ruffner said.

Through its global sales channel Sundyne manufactures and distributes a family of products including heavy duty ISO 13709/API 610 integrally geared pumps; direct drive and multi-stage pumps; sealless magnetic drive pumps including API 685 and ANSI and ISO standards; high-speed multi-stage compressors for hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation, water management, and general industries. Sundyne also manufactures motors, stators and generators for aerospace, aircraft, refrigeration, hybrid bus and hybrid truck industries.
